Ronds de Sorcière was first launched in 2021 as part of a Fall seasonal box-set, first described as "a wet, green, mossy, and animalic perfume made with mushroom extract, an artisanal lichen and conifer needle tincture, oakmoss, and notes of wild grass, dew-covered leaves, musky mushrooms & rich soil."

This perfume's first release was important passage for us; fully committing to conjuring an Eau de Parfum audacious enough to eschew the limitations of the palatable and instead lean unabashedly into niche fragrance-making. To our delight, the response was immensely positive, and warranted a revisit to this photorealistic oddity.

Impressions: sticky-sweet terpenic effluvia ; wet wood and cold stone ; fresh-picked mushrooms and putrescent caps ; acrid wood ; an indolic undercarriage ; ripe fruit and bruised waxy flesh ; sweet decay ; fall leaves ; cold air—damp, earthy, green, musky.

*This reprise, like the last, is built atop in-house extractions of seasonal ingredients unique to its vintage and terroir—which poses the challenge of inimitability. Subtle variations in character are to be expected.

According to Western European folklore, it was considered bad luck to interfere with a fairy ring — a naturally occurring, circular grouping of mushrooms. Consequences ranged from exhaustion (from being bewitched into an everlasting dance with the Fairy folk) to entrapment or even death. In France, where these rings are known as Ronds de Sorcières ("Sorceress' rings") it was believed that enormous, magical toads with bulging eyes would appear in their center and curse anyone who dared to enter these enchanted circles.
