Herbal Chai | BLUEBERRYJAMS
Ingredients: ginger, astragalus, eleuthero, orange peel, tulsi, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, star anise, white pine*
*ingredients may change slightly based on seasonality
Blended for: Deep immunity, digestive aid, and adaptogenic trauma support.
Preparing as herbal decoction:
- 1 tsp per cup of water in a saucepan or pot.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 10-45min depending on desired potency.
- Add milk of choice and a drop or two of oil (not as necessary with whole milk).
- Strain while hot.
- Will keep in refrigerator between 24 to 48 hours.
Preparing as herbal infusion:
- Since this blend has roots, barks, and seeds, to extract the most healing constituents it's best to powder the mixture using a spice grinder or mortar.
- 1 tsp per cup of water in a teapot or glass jar.
- Pour boiling water over powdered herbs.
- Cover with lid and let steep for 10 -15 mins.
- Strain while hot.
- Infusion will keep in refrigerator between 24 to 48 hours.
How to use:
Add honey, maple syrup, or sweetener as desired. Prepare with or without milk. Drink 1 cup a day (up to 3). Have a little bit often for cumulative effect of immune boosting and adaptogen herbs. Relief & aid for digestion and inflammation will be more immediate.
